海角乱伦社区Trains Assessors for Field Practical Programme

The 海角乱伦社区 (UDS) has reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence and practical learning by organizing a high-level orientation for field assessors, coordinators, and drivers tasked with evaluating students on the Third Trimester Field Practical Programme (TTFPP).

The orientation, held from Sunday, August 3 to August 24, 2025, in the Dr. Andani Andan Academic Board Chamber, brought together key stakeholders to ensure a smooth and effective assessment process for students deployed across communities.

Opening the session, Professor Weseh Adda, Director of the Directorate of Community Relations and Outreach Programmes, emphasized teamwork as the bedrock of the assessment’s success.

“Our role is to support the students, but this support must be delivered with unity of purpose,” he said. “Coordinators, assessors, and drivers must work hand in hand to ensure the process is seamless.”

Underscoring the importance of the exercise, Professor Abdulai Abubakari, Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, reminded participants that the TTFPP assessment is not just a formality but an academic test in its own right.

“Let us be clear—this is an examination. The integrity of our university rests on the fairness, transparency, and professionalism with which you conduct this exercise,” he charged.

Providing a broader perspective, Mr. Saeed F. Majeed delivered a presentation on the general overview of the assessment. He urged assessors to recognize the vital contributions students make in their host communities.

“Our students are not just learners; they are change agents in the communities they serve. Your evaluation should reflect both their academic output and their community impact,” he noted.

On the technical side, Dr. Solomon Kofi Chikpah, Coordinator of the Directorate, guided participants through the results-processing procedures, stressing professionalism as the distinguishing mark of UDS’s field programme.

“We want this programme to stand out nationally and internationally. That uniqueness lies in how professionally we handle every stage of the assessment,” he said.

To further strengthen the process, the Directorate announced the provision of smart projectors to some coordinators, enabling the use of PowerPoint presentations in communities where technology can be effectively deployed.

The TTFPP has long been recognized as UDS’s flagship initiative, bridging theory with practice by immersing students in real-world community challenges. The latest orientation signals the University’s determination to safeguard the credibility of the programme while empowering students with transformative experiences.

“With this orientation, we are not just training assessors; we are strengthening UDS’s legacy of innovation and practical education,” Prof. Adda concluded.
