Institute for Distance and Continuing Learning Students’ Representative Council Makes Generous Donation

The Students' Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Development Studies (UDS) Institute for Distance and Continuing Learning (IDCL) has demonstrated its commitment to supporting the academic environment by donating office accessories to the IDCL City Campus. The donation ceremony took place on August 11, 2024, and included five desktop computers, five printers, five projectors, and five UPS.

Led by Mr. Alhassan Abdul Kudus, the President of the IDCL SRC, the donation aimed to facilitate office work at the various IDCL centers. The gesture was well-received by Dr. Simon Iddrisu Alhassan, the Deputy Director of IDCL, who commended the SRC executives for their thoughtful support. "The items donated will be utilized to the fullest," Dr. Alhassan assured.

The donation ceremony was attended by key staff members, including Madam Sarah Atambeogo, Assistant Registrar, UDS-IDCL; Mr. Kamaldeen Musah, Accounts, UDS-IDCL; Mr. Murphy Abdulai Mahamadu, Zonal Coordinator IDCL; and Mr. Habib Yakubu, Principal Administrative Assistant IDCL.

The SRC executives, comprising Mr. Fuseini A. Murijana, Daboya Centre President; Mr. Sachibu Sadat, Treasurer; Madam Alhassan Zelia, WOCOM; and Mr. Abas Baako, PRO, were instrumental in making the donation a success. Volunteers Mr. Eric Tettey, Madam Genevieve Degah, and Mr. Kanubala Peter Marvin also contributed to the ceremony's success.

This generous donation reflects the SRC's dedication to enhancing the academic experience for students and promoting a positive learning environment at the University of Development Studies.
